After a wet and cool June start, the cottage season was looking like a repeat of the past few years. Thankfully July, August and September enjoyed warmer and sunnier weather than we’ve had for some time and we all had a memorable summer. Fall is here and after Thanksgiving it’s time to start preparing for winter.
Winter came early this year and has settled into a good old fashioned Muskoka winter with lots and lots of snow and some very cold nights and days. Snow loads have been huge throughout the region and most property owners know by now that their roofs and porches need shoveling. Lake-effect streamers have hit some areas like Bracebridge and Gravenhurst much harder than others.
