The summer that never was is over and Fall wasted no time in arriving in full force. We have been harvesting our giant pumpkins since the first week of September for the market in Port Sandfield and bringing up the best of Ontario’ Fall fruits and vegetables. The leaf colours here in Muskoka are spectacular and a weekend at the cottage is a must this time of year.
Winter came early this year and has settled into a good old fashioned Muskoka winter with lots and lots of snow and some very cold nights and days. Snow loads have been huge throughout the region and most property owners know by now that their roofs and porches need shoveling. Lake-effect streamers have hit some areas like Bracebridge and Gravenhurst much harder than others.
