This time of year provides the widest variety of locally grown fruits and vegetables available in Ontario. Sweet corn is at it’s very sweetest, local apples are coming to market, raspberries and strawberries are still coming from ever-bearing fields and the watermelons are dripping in flavour. Niagara peaches are exceptional and Fall squashes are rolling in.
We are down to the last long week-end of the summer and it looks like we’re going to enjoy more beautiful weather. Take advantage of all that Ontario has to offer and enjoy a weekend at the cottage. Farm fresh fruits and veggies, a cut-to-order steak for the BBQ and some fresh baked treats from our shop will make meal prep quick and easy. Remember, September is one of the nicest times to be in Muskoka. The weather is usually right for a fire, everything is less crowded and the scenery is spectacular when the leaves begin to turn, especially when viewed from the lake. Plan to be here as often as possible.
